John first experienced beekeeping as a teenager growing up in New England. His love for and interest in beekeeping stayed with him throughout his working years and time raising three children. In retirement, he decided to pick up where he left off years ago, and start a beekeeping business.

Since then he has expanded his operation to multiple Frederick County farm properties, joined the Frederick County Beekeepers Association, produced honey, and become an educator for both beginners and people interested in maintaining the environment. John has many other interests including trail running, scuba diving, hiking, and spending precious time with his four grandsons.
